| | | Advanced Options: Format The first set of options on the Advanced Interface allow you to specify the format in which the results of your WebCorp query will appear: WebCorp Format Options
- Output Format: The default, HTML, presents concordance lines with the keyword (the search term) in bold red type. The HTML Tables option produces Key Word in Context (KWIC) style output, with the search terms centred. The Plain Text (ASCII) output is presented in quasi-KWIC format. (If the option to send results by email is selected then the Output Format will default to ASCII.)
- Web Addresses (URLs): Determines whether the URL (address) of each web page should be shown on the WebCorp results page. The default is to display URLs only for pages from which concordance lines have been extracted. Options are also available to show the URLs for all pages accessed (including those containing no concordance lines or returning errors) or not to show URLs for any pages. If 'Never show' is selected then concordance lines are presented in a numbered list with the keyword (in bold red type) as a link to the originating web page.
Note: For standard KWIC output choose 'HTML Tables (KWIC)' under Output Format and 'Never Show' under Web Addresses (URLs). Next: Advanced Options: Concordances >> | |
